Barbara Hirsh has been in her current position since 1998. In addition to overseeing the administration of RRC’s academic program, she teaches the course Rabbi as Organizational Manager and directs the College’s program of rabbinic internships on college campuses. Her previous experience includes appointments as associate director of Hillel of Greater Philadelphia, development writer for the Family Institute at Northwestern University, coordinator of the Jewish Association of Singles Services for the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Philadelphia, coordinator of the Integration Project for Soviet Émigrés for the Jewish Immigrant Aid Society of Toronto and lecturer in sociology at Temple University. She is a past president of Shalva, a Chicago agency addressing domestic violence in the Jewish community.

A graduate of Long Island University, Hirsh earned a Master of Arts in sociology from Temple University.
