Deborah Stern previously served as the head of reference and educational services at the Library of Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, as director of several hospital libraries and as a librarian in the Jewish division of the research branch of the New York Public Library. She is active in the Association of Jewish Libraries and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Theological Library Association and has taught religious-school classes for children and adult-education classes in synagogues. Stern is a graduate of George Washington University. She holds a Master of Arts in contemporary Jewish studies from Brandeis University and a Master of Library Science from Columbia University.
