Findings: Sex and the Seminary Study
On January 8, 2009, the Religious Institute on Sexual Morality, Justice, and Healing and the Union Theological Seminary released its study entitled “Sex and the Seminary: Preparing Ministers for Sexual Health and Justice.”
Thanks to the pioneering work of a number of faculty members, administrators, Kolot, and its Founding Director Lori Lefkovitz, Ph.D., RRC was among only ten seminaries nationwide that meet the study’s criteria for:
- practicing a progressive approach to sexuality content in the curriculum
- institutional commitment to sexuality and gender equity
- advocacy and support for sexuality-related issues
