The Eisenstein Reconstructionist Archives exist to preserve the early history of the Reconstructionist movement and to collect the records of the College. The archives include the largest existing collection of personal papers of and correspondence with Mordecai M. Kaplan, Ph.D. The archives' mission is to preserve, organize and make accessible the history of RRC (from its founding in 1968 to the present); the papers of Kaplan; the papers of Ira Eisenstein, Ph.D. (RRC's founding president); the papers of Judith Kaplan Eisenstein, Ph.D.; materials relating to early institutions, organizations and leaders of the Reconstructionist movement; and selected materials related to disciples and associates of Mordecai M. Kaplan.
A finding aid is now available and an exhibit of selected items from the College collection. Interested researchers may also contact the archivist at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an appointment to visit the archives.
