More About the Becker Media Center

The Dorothy and Sidney Becker Media Center is an advanced digital-language lab designed to further the study of Hebrew and Jewish texts and enhance e-learning at RRC. It is used in classes and for independent study.

The center's workstations are linked by a fiber-optic network and optimized for use as a digital-language lab. An electronic, interactive whiteboard functions as a touch-sensitive projection screen, which can show images ranging from handwritten notes to DVD material to Web sites. The material also can be saved, printed or e-mailed to remote locations. Using interactive multimedia software-including some original programming created at the Center to help students master both modern Hebrew and Reconstructionist liturgy-students can view and listen to lessons and practice writing, declaiming and reading.
