Janis Smith holds primary responsibility for updating and maintaining the RRC Web site and Intranet site—including online course materials—and uses her video and audio technical expertise to help create vibrant content for the College’s social media sites on Facebook, YouTube and Ning.  She also is helping to produce the new distance-learning program Judaism Through a Reconstructionist Lens.

Smith received both her Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Communications and her M.Ed. in Educational Media from Temple University. She has held various jobs in the media industry, including posts as a video editor for Philadelphia’s Channel 29 news and for the SmithKline Beecham pharmaceutical company.  Smith lived in Israel for five years and worked in the audiovisual department of the Beer Sheva Medical School and Soroka Hospital.
