Tamar Kamionkowski, Ph.D., holds a bachelor of arts degree from Oberlin College, a master of theological studies from Harvard Divinity School and a doctorate in Near Eastern and Judaic studies from Brandeis University. She has held research appointments at Brandeis University, Bar Ilan University and Tel Aviv University. Her teaching experience includes appointments at Hebrew College, Brandeis University and a host of adult-education institutions. Kamionkowski is the author of Gender Reversal and Cosmic Chaos: Studies in the Book of Ezekiel (Sheffield Academic Press, 2003) and numerous articles on prophetic literature and feminist readings of biblical texts. She currently is the co-chair for the Theology of the Hebrew Scriptures section of the Society for Biblical Literature. Her research interests include Jewish biblical theology, prophetic literature, ancient Near Eastern mythology and gender studies.
