Library Facilities

The library offers an excellent collection of Judaic and Hebraic resources, Reconstructionist movement publications, computer facilities, electronic resources and ample study space for both hevruta (group) and independent study.  Members of the public are invited to visit the library and may register to borrow library materials.

The following is a complete listing of our library facilities:

Main Level

  • Sidney and Dorothy Becker Reading Room — space for hevruta study, circulation desk, laser printer, online catalogue with current library holdings, author/title card catalogue (no longer being updated), Bet Midrash collection.
  • Kresge Foundation Reference Area — Rabbinic text collection and current periodical section
  • Barr Study Area — two student computers, one guest computer
  • Lindy Study Area — tables for independent study
  • Reference book collection — non-circulating
  • Reserve book collection — limited circulation
  • Periodical indexes
  • The Reconstructionist, Reconstructionism Today and other materials of the Reconstructionist movement — non-circulating reference set
