The RRC Community

Several regularly scheduled offerings enhance your community experience at RRC.

College Time

This weekly program is an integral part of our academic calendar, providing important opportunities for guest speakers and community-wide conversations. College Time brings to the fore issues central to many at RRC—addressing, for example, social justice or environmentalism.

Meditation

On Thursday mornings, interested faculty and students meet for a silent meditation in the College's meditation room, a dedicated space in which community members can engage in their own contemplative practice.  Each week, a different student offers a kavannah at the beginning and conclusion of the meditation. The Meditation Room also is the site for special, occasional programs on meditation throughout the year.

Davenning

The whole RRC community is invited to this prayer service every Tuesday morning, led by student and faculty volunteers. The service is a vehicle for building community, and fosters creative spiritual development as it teaches the traditional weekday service. While there are basic elements that are included each week, leaders are free to choose their own additions.

Shabbatonim

Shared celebrations of Shabbat and holidays are an important part of your experience at RRC. Several times each year, Shabbatonim—seminars and retreats for students and faculty—offer opportunities for extended discussion, study and celebration.
