With more than 50 percent of its $50 million goal already met, the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College is launching the public phase of a new comprehensive development campaign, the first in the College’s 38-year history.

Since September 2004, RRC has raised nearly $29 million from supporters during the quiet phase of the campaign. It is the largest amount ever raised by the College. The remainder will be raised over the next five years from RRC’s friends and supporters in the U.S. and Canada.

The funds will be used to support scholarships, faculty development, endowed chairs, operating expenses, curriculum enrichment, innovative approaches to teaching, student recruitment, internships and trailblazing programs.

Funds also will be used to support initiatives at RRC’s three centers of excellence—The Center for Jewish Ethics; Hiddur: The Center for Aging and Judaism; and Kolot: The Center for Jewish Women’s and Gender Studies.
