RRC trains a diverse mix of talented students to become rabbinic leaders for a variety of roles in the Jewish community. Below is a sample of our leaders- in-training, as well as faculty and alumni.

Steven Goldstein

Steven Goldstein left behind highly successful careers as a lawyer and Emmy award-winning television producer when he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a rabbi.

He worked in television for NBC News and as chief investigative producer for the ABC station in Washington, for which he won 10 Emmy Awards. He served as an attorney for the House Judiciary Committee and as a senior staffer for three U.S. senators.  In 2000 he was co-campaign manager for now-Gov. Jon Corzine's U.S. Senate race.  In 2002, he and his partner Daniel became the first same-sex couple in the wedding announcements of The New York Times.

After graduating summa cum laude from Brandeis University with a bachelor of arts degree in politics, he earned a law degree and a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University. He also earned a master's degree in public policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where he was editor-in-chief of Governance: The Harvard Journal of Public Policy.

I've had a rich and blessed life," said the Teaneck, NJ, resident who grew up in a Conservative congregation, "but this is the happiest, most satisfying time of all."
